Big Red has been doing different commercials for years. It goes back to the Johnson & Johnson days where they taught you to be VERY creative to get a customer's attention. We were told NEVER "pitch" as that's throwing words and not being absorbed into your customers attention. When Big Red started in the medical industry (26 years ago) she realized that she had to get quick attention of her 250 distributors reps and also the purchasing agents in 350 hospitals. Standing to do a demonstration of a new product got to be real interesting. For instance: Digital Thermometers in 1979 were going up against mercury glass thermometers. Nurses HATED change in any products. When doing a demo, Red would also ask for a volunteer (sometimes at 2 in the morning) and the poor soul would come up and do an oral....then this was said "OK, now time for the other end!" Needless to say, many laughs later, the nurses became at ease in using the product.
